What is The Martial Horse?

The word Martial derives from the the Roman God of War - Mars. It can be defined as: of or having to do military life and discipline.

Martial Arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practices, which are practiced for a variety of reasons including: as self defense, military, and law enforcement applications; as competition, physical fitness, mental development, and spiritual development; as well as entertainment and the preservation of a nation’s intangible cultural heritage.

In the case of the Martial Horse, like martial arts, it is the philosophy of developing a horse and rider for mentally and physically for partnership, to work as a team, to be able to dance with one another to the music of life. We accomplish this through military seat training.
